Kevin P. O’Brien joined Hartog, Baer, Zabronsky litigation team in March 2016 as a senior associate. Mr. O’Brien represents individuals, non-profits, charities and financial institutions in all matters heard in Probate Court, including will and trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, trustee removal, estate distribution disputes, estate planning malpractice and financial elder abuse. Mr. O’Brien is an effective and energetic advocate who works closely with clients to develop reasonable objectives and implement cost-effective strategies to achieve those objectives.
Prior to joining Hartog, Baer &Zabronsky, Mr. O’Brien served as a litigation associate at a prominent Bay Area litigation boutique and a large, international law firm. Mr. O’Brien represented large and small businesses, public entities and individuals in a wide range of legal disputes in a variety of forums and successfully resolved complicated and vigorously contested cases through settlement, dispositive motions, trial and appeal. Mr. O’Brien has worked under and learned from several of the most revered litigators in the state.

Mr. O’Brien lives in North Berkeley with his wife and two sons. Mr. O’Brien plays lead guitar in Rockridge Station, a six piece, roots-rock band that occasionally gigs at Bay Area bars, clubs and festivals.
